Appointment of New Chairperson

The Payments Association of Namibia (PAN) announces the appointment of Ms Lily Brandt as an independent Chairperson of the Association with effect from 1st September 2013. Ms Brandt was the Assistant CEO at NAMFISA until 30th June 2013 when she retired. The position of PAN Chairmanship is non-executive.

She has extensive experience in the financial services industry having worked for FNB as the Head of Home loans and SWABOU Holdings as Group General Manager and various other managerial positions within the Group. Ms Brandt holds an MA in leadership, innovation and change from York St John University in the United Kingdom; a MBA from University of Stellenbosch and a B-Comm degree from UNISA.

Ms. Brandt takes over from Mr Hartmann, the former deputy Governor of the Bank of Namibia who was involved in the Namibia payment system reform since its inception. Mr Hartmann has been appointed as the Special Advisor to the Minister of Finance.
