Financial Institutions Fraud & Security Committee (FIFSC)
Forum Overview
Collaborative forum dedicated to combating fraud, enhancing cybersecurity, and securing the national financial infrastructure.
Scope of Operations
The Financial Institutions Fraud and Security Committee (FIFSC) is an essential collaborative forum established by the Payments Association of Namibia (PAN) and the banking industry. With direct participation from law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and security experts, the FIFSC is mandated to enhance the physical and digital security of financial institutions, employees, and customers. It leads national campaigns to combat card fraud, digital phishing, and systemic financial crimes.
Through collaborative self-regulation, standard-setting, and risk monitoring, PAN coordinating forums ensure high systemic safety, legal compliance, and operational interoperability across Namibia's national payments market.
